Control Engineering is an indispensable branch of all engineering specializations. The TecQuipment Control Engineering Range has been developed to reflect practical control problems as they occur in a variety of real engineering situations. The equipment has been designed to be flexible and can beused for teaching at arange of academic levels, from basic familiarization courses through to degree level and beyond.

The physical parameters covered include temperature, level and speed, unstable and multi-variable control systems, servo mechanisms and process simulation. Both analogue and digital control techniques are covered, the
controllers being supported by user-friendly, menu driven software packages to provide simulation and real time digital control of the systems.

Transducer Systems Laboratory Overview
The increase in scale and complexity of modern engineering equipment and the need to both monitor and control its performance has resulted in the rapid growth in importance of transducer technology. This extends from simple single point monitoring of a physical parameter up to multiple point monitoring and control of large systems. In many applications the actual monitoring, display and control is achieved via dedicated computers, which are suitably interfaced to the system. Applications where this trend has been most noticeable include aircraft, shipping and all forms of industrial plant. The object of the TecQuipment Systems Laboratory is to provide practical experience in Instrumentation and Transducer Technology for engineering students in an easy to use, safe and low-cost environment.
